Ever since we wrote the first bike trailer testing standard in 1995 we have worked continuously to build products to our standard. That’s why we test our products to multiple x on key durability tests, exceeding both ASTM and EN trailer and stroller standards .

Restricted Substances

We select only the finest, non-toxic materials for our products. Our materials are third party tested and comply with all applicable chemical regulations including, but not limited to, the following:

Phthalates: CPSIA Section 108, REACH Annex XVII (Entry 51), REACH Annex XVII (Entry 52), SOR/2016-188
Lead: CPSIA Section 101(f), CPSIA Section 101(a)(2), REACH Annex XVII (Entry 63), SOR/2016-193, SOR/2010-273
PAHs: REACH Annex XVII (Entry 50)

 
 

Third Party Testing

Every Burley child trailer also receives third party testing to ensure the safe travel of your most precious cargo. All Burley child trailers meet or exceed the ASTM F1975 standard for bicycle child trailers. In fact, Burley was one of the first to advocate for these minimum safety standards for our industry. Today, we work continuously to improve and exceed them. We also test and meet compliance with the EU child trailer standard, EN 15918.

In addition all of our Trailers compatible with Strolling/Jogging Kits are compliant with the requirements of ASTM F833-15 (“Standard Consumer Safety Performance Specification for Carriages and Strollers”) as well as the EU standard EN 1888 and SOR 2016-167
